The skull of doe was cleaned in the maceration process.
During the bone cleaning process, the horns are removed and thoroughly cleaned from the inside and outside. The teeth are extracted to perfectly clean the bone from soft tissue and keep the skull in excellent condition for many years.
The whitening method is the least invasive method to which 14% hydrogen peroxide was used. Thanks to this method, the bone does not flake, and a small concentration whitens and disinfects the skull completely.
After the bleaching method, the bone is subjected to double washing with pressurized water, thanks to which the residues of hydrogen peroxide and remaining dust from the skull surface are removed.
The final stage is the re-disinfection with alcohol and the spraying of the agent that will prevent invasion of insects.
After the cleaning process, all loose bones and teeth were glued invisibly, which makes the skull form one solid whole.
